Our top five TV series to watch this winter, 2018!

January can be a long month. Nights out become less frequent, and night’s in become the norm. To help you get through the month, we’ve put together a list of our must watch series this winter – some new, some old.

Peaky Blinders

The success of the BBC’s hit show has been well documented, and with gripping story lines and an all-star cast, it’s easy to see why. Season 4 has recently been aired, and all four seasons are now available on iPlayer, giving you the perfect excuse to get comfy on the sofa and binge watch some high quality television!

Mosaic

Director Steven Soderbergh has been involved in a number of big name projects in recent years, and has recently finished producing Oceans 8. Despite this, Mosaic may be his most forward thinking to date. The show is based around an app, where viewers will have the opportunity to choose whose point of view they want the story to be told from, and where to go next. With over seven hours of footage to get through, this interactive series could very well change the way we watch TV.

X Files

If last year’s season 10 didn’t put you off the show, you will have something to look forward to as Mudler and Scully return this month with a brand new series. With 10 previous series, X Files gives newcomers the opportunity to sprawl out on the sofa and binge watch, or long term fans a new series to look forward to. Either way, this classic show will give you plenty to get your teeth into this winter.

Gunpowder

Game of Thrones fans commence – Kit Harrington is looking to life after Jon Snow, as he takes up the role of gunpowder mastermind Robert Catesby. Set in the 1600s, this new BBC series chronicles Catesby’s attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament, and how he influenced the likes of Guy Fawkes into following his plan.

Britannia

Another one for Game of Thrones fans – Sky’s latest historical drama Britannia has been described as: “Set in 43AD, the captivating, anarchic drama follows the Roman army as they return to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia, a mysterious land led by warrior women and powerful Druids who claim to channel the powerful forces of the underworld.”

With so many great TV series to watch in 2018, a comfy new sofa may be required, and we’ve got a wide range of fabric and leather options to choose from, all available with up to 4 year interest free credit.
