There’s nothing quite like organising a family trip to the cinema. From deciding on the right film to watch to packing the right snacks to sneak in, we know that plenty of preparation is required.

To help you get started, we’ve picked the top five must see family movies of 2017, and there’s some showstoppers on there!

Beauty and the Beast

Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast’s hideous exterior, allowing her to recognize his kind heart and soul.

Despicable Me 3

Gru is living his normal life as an agent and consultant for the Anti-Villain League as well as a lovely father and husband for Lucy. But then, he must face against his most formidable nemesis yet in the form of Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who grew up to become obsessed with the character he played in the 80’s and bent on conquering the entire world. Just as he has the task to save the world from total annihilation once again, he comes into a sibling rivalry when he unexpectedly meets his long lost twin brother, Dru.

Lego Batman

There are big changes brewing in Gotham, but if Batman (Will Arnett) wants to save the city from the Joker’s (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Maybe his superhero sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) and loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) can show him a thing or two.

Baby Boss

A hilariously universal story about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 year old named Tim.

Power Rangers

Five teens with attitude are inexplicably brought together by coincidence or destiny to become the newest generation in a line of warriors known as the Power Rangers. The world rests in their hands as Rita Repulsa, a powerful witch, launches an assault seeking the Zeo Crystal with an army of stone golems called Putties and a giant golden monster called Goldar.

These films are perfect for families with children of all ages, and we’re sure you can find your inner child and enjoy them as well!
