Keep your kids happy this Christmas with these great toys

Christmas is fast approaching and it’s time to start filling your kid’s stockings. No doubt they’ve written you a list as long as your arm, based around what their classmates want, but just in case you’re in any doubt, we’ve pulled the top three toys for boys and the top three toys for girls this Christmas.

Lego Nexo Knight General Magmar Siege Machine of Doom Construction Set

What a mouthful that is – not a name you want to have to memorize. Lego has been stopping Santa lists for boys for decades, and 2016 is no different. This year, they have combined their traditional sets with Cartoon Network TV series Machine of Doom, to create an all action building set with more than 500 pieces, so there’s plenty to keep them busy during the school holidays!

Nerf Modulus Tri Strike

This one may be a little more testing on your patience… The Nerf Tri-Strike blaster features three different ways to blast that can all be used separately, or combined, which let’s face it, they are always going to use. This toy can lead to hours of fun when your kids are in a group, but you may want to take control of it when you’re trying to serve the Christmas dinner!

BB-8 Remote Control Toy

Much like Lego, Star Wars toys are never far from the top of a Christmas list, and this remote controlled toy is this year’s hottest Star Wars toy. Unlike remote control cars in days gone by, this one can roll in any direction and makes a number of ‘droid sounds.’ Being billed as a replacement for RT-D2 toys, you won’t disappoint with this one!

FurReal Friends Torch My Blazin Dragon

Standing at 35cm tall, this responsive toy is taller than most kid’s soft toys, and is set to top Santa lists all over the country. Designed to react when you stroke its nose, touch its charm button or give it a treat, this Blazin Dragon will give out snorts, giggles and mist… just like any good dragon!

Barbie 3 Storey Townhouse

An ever present on Christmas lists, Barbie always manage to pull something out of the bag at this time of year. This time, they’ve gone with a bright pink house filled with a bathtub that bubbles as a rooftop spa, a swing chair, a flat screen TV and a working lift… Just to make sure your Barbie doesn’t have to walk up the stairs!

Furby Connnect

They never seem to go away, do they? Since making their first appearance at Christmas in 1998, Furbies have come a long way, with the latest version featuring an app, 150 expressions and regular updates via Bluetooth. While all of these features are great for your kids, the big selling point for parents will be the eye mask, which you can pop on to make your Furby go to sleep!

Now you’ve got some ideas, it’s time to get shopping. We all know how quickly the most popular kids toys sell out!
