Do you fancy being a superhero for the day? Well, you’re in luck, the 5th May is superhero day and people all over the country will be dressing up to mark the occasion.

As a nationwide business, with our roots plated in the North East, we’ll be doing our part too, as we team up with Metro Radio to help raise vital funds for their charity Cash for Kids.

Cash for Kids is a local charity whose mission is to support local children who are disabled, disadvantaged, sick, or suffering from abuse or neglect, from the ages of 0-18.

So, what is a Super Van Prize?

Metro Radio has teamed up with businesses all over the North East, all of whom have donated prizes. These prizes will all go into the ‘Super Van’ and one lucky person will take home the lot!

The van will include a wide range of prizes, including holidays, flights, tickets, electricals, meals, vouchers, experiences and a ScS sofa!

We’ve donated a three seater sofa from our Lois collection, and the winner will have a choice of either standard or scatter back, and of four colourways. Depending on the combination the winner chooses, the prize is worth £900!

How do you enter?

The Super Van competition will be ran live on air on Metro Radio on Friday 5th May, with lines open all day. To enter all you have to do is text ‘HAPPY’ to 70808 and donate £5 towards Cash for Kids. Once you’ve sent that text, you could be in with a chance to win!

The lucky winner will be announced at the end of the day, and they will take how everything in the van!

All the funds for the charity are raised locally, and redistributed locally, to individuals, families and other charities dedicated to improving the lives of young people.

Last year collectively Cash for Kinds raised over £21 million, supporting more than 560,000 local children. This year, Metro Radio are stepping it up for Superhero Day, and they will be running a competition for a Super Van prize – a prize to top all prizes!

Vicki Burns, PR and Communications Executive, said: “We’re super happy to have teamed up with Cash For Kids and Metro Radio to support this year’s Superhero Day. As a business with our heritage in North East region for over 100 years now, we wanted to make a positive contribution, and help raise vital funds for local disadvantaged children at the same time, with a comfy Super Van prize of a sofa from one of our stylish collections. Our employees are also helping boost fundraising further by taking part in a superhero-themed fancy dress competition and are even getting their family members involved in an arty kid’s activity.”Superhero Day Metro Radio Super Van
