We’re very proud to announce that our employees have raised £20,000 for Leicester Children’s Hospital through a variety of fundraising activities as part of its annual awards and recognition night, which took place at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

To help raise money, the company held a charity auction and fundraising evening where employees raised some £10,000 from a range of activities. The charity auction, saw our Managing Director Kevin Royal auction off a variety of kind donations from suppliers, including an Audi Track Day at Silverstone, donated by Audi UK, football tickets, donated by Capital FM, and an array of furniture and flooring items from suppliers including La-Z-Boy, G Plan, AMX Design, Willis & Gambier, Furlong Flooring and many more.

On the night the company matched the figure raised by employees bringing the fundraising total to £20,000.

Debbie Alderstein, Head of Business Development at Leicester Hospitals Charity, said: “We are overwhelmed and eternally grateful for the support and generosity of ScS and their employees for the fundraising they’ve done for Leicester Hospitals Charity, specifically for the Children’s Hospital here in Leicester. This massive gift of £20,000 will go a long way towards helping us enhance our provisions for sick babies and children, making their hospital stay and their carers, as comfortable and homely as possible. A huge thank you to everyone at ScS.”

Branch manager, Sharron Ray, and sales professional Ram Jadav, from our store in Fosse Retail Park Leicester, met Debbie at Leicester Hospital’s Charity premises recently to visit the ward and handover the cheque for the £20,000 fundraising total.

Sharron said: “We’re delighted to have been able to team up and generate a fantastic fundraising total for such a worthwhile charity and vital service such as Leicester Children’s Hospital. I was able to see first-hand and hear about the amazing work they do every day to support local children and families in Leicester. We hope the amount goes some way helping Debbie and the team further enhance their current services, so they can help even more families in need of their care and support.”
