As we eagerly await the 25th December, we’ve been looking at the elements that make the perfect Christmas. This week, we’re looking at which festive snacks and drinks you can enjoy during the most wonderful time of the year.

Now that you know our top Christmas decorating tips, we thought you might need something to accompany those festive movies you’ll be watching (it’s not a movie night without loads of snacks on the sofa is it?)

Cheesy Puff Pastry Stars

Quick, easy, and tasty, these little snacks are the ideal recipe for getting the kids helping in the kitchen. With only two ingredients (grated cheese and puff pastry), and a star cookie cutter, you will have a yummy sofa snack in under 20 mins.

Pair with: Elf. This film is a massive hit with both younger and older audiences; just like this snack!

Cranberry and Brie Bites

If Christmas brings us one thing, it’s an abundance of cheese and cranberry sauce, which makes these bites ultimate ‘leftover food’ snack. Add these to some puff pastry and you have something wonderful. Just spread your cranberry sauce over a puff pastry sheet, cut into bite size pieces, top with brie and bake for 10-15mins.

Pair with: Love Actually. These snacks are a little more grown-up, making them a great food for eating when snuggled on the sofa this Christmas.

Nutella Hot Chocolate

This is our ultimate hot chocolate, and a favourite in our team. By simply melting two tbsp. of Nutella in 250ml of hot milk per person, you will have the BEST hot chocolate. We love to top ours with whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. Four ingredients + a huge pan = a happy family.

Pair with: Miracle on 34th Street. Like the movie, this hot chocolate will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, so for maximum Christmas cheer, we love these two together.

Christmas Pizza

Another one for the kids! Creating a festive pizza is easy and a definite crowd-pleaser. You can either shape your pizza dough into a snowman, or even a candy cane (decorate accordingly with your toppings), or simply use your Christmas cookie cutters to make bite sized pizzas.

Pair with: Home Alone. The entire film is genius, but the pizza delivery scene is one of our favourites.

Popcorn

We couldn’t really complete a list on the top movie snacks without including popcorn, could we? The ultimate, movie snack, gets a makeover from Two Sisters Crafting, making it much more Grinch-y than usual…

Pair with: The Grinch. Not only does he look the part, but the salty/sweet mixture is a wonderful representation of his personality.
