As the dark evenings come into force, a night on the sofa becomes extremely appealing. For many of us, that evening must have a good video game involved to be complete.

From sports to adventure, the latest games are now flooding the market, and we’ve picked our top five must have options this autumn.

FIFA 18 (PS4, Xbox One, Windows)

For many console owners, FIFA is the only game they own. With seasons, journeys, Ultimate Team and custom tournaments with your mates, FIFA offers everything football fans need in a game. PES has made more strides to catch up in 2018, but FIFA pips it for us with its improved graphics, gameplay and player information.

Dishonoured 2 (PS4, Xbox One, Windows)

For fans of warrior style sci-fi games, Dishonoured 2 could well top their gaming list this autumn. Taking control of former assassin Billie Lurk, you are on a quest to kill the supernatural creature that give you magical powers (gratitude, eh?!). This one may sound a little crazy, but is likely to have you completely hooked.

Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is the long awaited sequel to the 2014 online only sensation that gripped the nation of gamers. The game places you at the centre of a cosmic war between human guardians and various aliens races, in a multi-player scenario. Fans of space battling games like Halo will love this one, but make sure you’ve got a strong internet connection as there is no offline offering.

Call of Duty: WWII (PS4, Xbox One, Windows)

It wouldn’t be an autumn games list without the inclusion of the new CoD. This year the franchise returns to its roots, going back to a WWll scenario for the first time since 2008. Some call it unoriginal, some see it as an improved version of what they built their reputation on. And, for those who fancy a bit of zombie shooting, there’s a special side-mode offering just that!

The Evil Within 2

The Evil Within was a welcome return to survival horror from original Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami, and he’s stuck around for a second helping. Fittingly enough, the game is coming out on Friday the 13th, and will follow Detective Sebastian Castellanos on a quest to bring back his daughter Lily, who just so happens to be a little bit dead. Think demonic town, filled with surprises – a typically gripping survival horror, and one of the must have games this autumn.

Now you’ve got all the autumn games you need to keep yourself entertained, it’s time to get the right sofa. For the ultimate gaming experience, look no further than this Manor 2 seater sofa with a built in drinks console.
