To celebrate reaching 100 stores nationwide, and to say a big thank you to the local communities who have supported us on our journey from one local store in Sunderland to a leading UK sofa and carpet specialist, we have launched a £10,000 fund to help shine a light on hardworking causes within local communities nationwide.
To break it down, we will be donating £100 to 100 causes that are important to local people and communities around our network of 100 stores. We’re asking members of the public to get involved by visiting their local ScS store and completing a nomination for a local charity, voluntary organisation or community group that’s close to their heart.
The charity or group with the most nominations in each location will be named their benefitting charity and will receive £100 to help fund the vital work they do in the local community.
David Knight, Chief Executive at ScS, said: “We’re launching our ‘100 Good Causes’ campaign to say a massive thank you to each of the local communities that have supported us on our journey to reaching the milestone of 100 stores.
“100 stores is an incredible achievement and could not have been done without the hard work and dedication of our employees, past and present. We now employ more than 2,000 people across the UK, and together we look forward to benefitting 100 local good causes from our fund.”
